Divina Carne started from scratch, but it was enhanced by its enthusiastic owners who saw an opportunity in an empty building. Inspired by a previous Brazilian restaurant located in Costa Rica, they traveled all the way to Cancún to fulfill their goals and ambitions.

Alejandra, Marketing Director of Divina Carne, used to visit the restaurant frequently to enjoy her favorite dish: the beef rib with white wine risotto, served with mushrooms. She eventually became part of Divina Carne’s team being in charge of public relationships, event logistics, and sales. “The project was a major challenge, including the three years we took on the construction”, says Alejandra.

One of the biggest challenges Divina Carne had to face was that they started operating during the Covid-19 outbreak, which represented a great barrier to overcome. While dealing with a financial crisis and a lack of products all over the world, they managed to penetrate the market and had exponential growth gaining a podium as one of the best Brazilian restaurants in Cancún after two years.

According to Alejandra, one of the distinctive features of Brazilian Cuisine is the combination of several food variations that result in tropical-like combinations and provide the dish with a very colorful and vivid aspect.
For instance, the Brazilian tortilla is made with yuca which contrasts with the typical Mexican corn tortilla. It can be said that the ingredients make the difference when it comes to giving the dishes a unique flavor and creating Brazilian Cuisine variations. “The method in which Brazilian people prepare a Russian salad is way too different to the Mexican preparation”, Alejandra highlights. She believes that yuca, picanha, caipiriña, and cheese bread balls are the essentials in Brazilian cuisine.

A complete experience

Divina Carne is a large restaurant divided into multiple floors with an approximate capacity of 360 people. The first floor, with space for 90 people, consists of a private hall where events, conferences, and even weddings are held. Then, the food bar is located on the second floor, which is the main hall; it has 60 tables and a top-notch kitchen where the culinary art takes place, “we even have a bakery within the kitchen to prepare our bread, everything we offer is made at the restaurant; it is like a factory.”, Alejandra highlights. On the third floor, a kids club is provided so customers can consume their food while letting their children have fun at the place. The ambience in Divina Carne is very different from other Brazilian places. It’s very classy and calm, they even have acoustic roofs to alter the atmosphere.

Nearly 80 people work at Divina Carne, Brazilian people included; work is divided into three branches which include kitchen, waiter captains, and administrative affairs.
“We are committed to offering the best quality, we constantly check all of our products to make sure they are in the best possible conditions, and we also make all of our collaborators feel supported at any moment”, adds Alejandra.
The top sirloin cap, also known as picanha, is the specialty of Divina Carne. The flavorful meat is skewered, grilled, and sliced before serving. Picanha might be the most popular and requested dish, however, the restaurant offers a three-section menu: “La Barra Divina”, which is a food bar of salads, hot dishes, sushi, cheese, cold meats, ceviche, aguachile, and more; “Rodizio Tradicional” that contains over 20 kinds of meat cuts served using meat swords: and “Cortes Gourmet” in which clients can order luxury meat such as Tomahawk, Porterhouse, Cowboy or Ribeye, this section includes the previous ones so customers can enjoy an extensive variety of dishes.

Divina Carne’s motto “We don’t say no to anything”, makes it authentic and phenomenal. “We make all of our customers feel important, most of the time the owners ask people about their experience and take into account their opinions and necessities. This attentiveness makes us a one-of-a-kind restaurant.”, says Alejandra. Nowadays, Divina Carne started offering a luscious breakfast with a wide and superb range of drinks such as juices, coffee or chocolate milk. Furthermore, they have small carritos going around making fresh omelettes or tapioca (brazilian style omelette). Customers can choose their own topping, either something sweet like bananas or chocolate or fill it with ham, bacon, onion, tomatoes mushrooms and more. Clients can even witness the dish being prepared to whet their appetite. At present, Divina Carne is planning to expand its restaurants to Mexico City, Guadalajara, and venturing out to the venturing out to the United States. Excellency formula, an extensive menu, and a fine dining combined with the authentic flavor of Brazil’s churrasco, makes Divina Carne a premium choice of Brazilian cuisine in every sense.
